Capital University of Economics and Business, Beijing, China 2005 -- Present Assistant Dean 北京经济商务首都大学 2005-现在 Moved to make the school more market oriented. Planned the strategic outlook for the college. Built a North American style curriculum. Signed partnerships with 35 international universities. Negotiated and signed cooperation agreements with CIMA, and ACCA. Increased student enrollment by more than 300%. Lectured in Operations and Strategic Management. Wrote Operations and Project Management case studies for students. Designed interactive projects for student.
Commercial Federal Bank, Omaha, Nebraska Nov. 2002 – Aug. 2005 Operations Manager Managed the banks compliance with Federal and State retention guidelines. Represented the bank in court when experts on bank records were required. Spearheaded multiple cost saving projects. Negotiated contracts with vendors, saving the bank an estimated 10 million dollars over 5 years. Completed multiple accusation projects each in excess of two thousand loans and $20 million. Managed a mortgage sale project liquidating approximately fifteen thousand mortgages. Helped design a state of the art facility for the retention and management of all bank records. Including negotiating contracts with suppliers for new equipment, advising senior management on servicing agreements, and organizing the move to the new facility. Part of a team to upgrade the bank’s computer systems from AS400 to Windows/Oracle. Implemented a complete digitization of the banks records increasing customer satisfaction and reducing staffing costs by 25% annually.
Best Buy, Omaha, Nebraska 1996 -- 2002 Inventory Manager April 1998 – Nov 2002 Improved product flow and team performance becoming the best in the region of 25 stores. Played an integral role in the team that wrote and implemented Best Buy’s Standard Operating Procedures. Traveled through the region training Inventory personal on best practices.
