Employment History:
April 2017 - Present - ESL Teacher at First Leap - First Leap is one of China’s largest and most prestigious training schools for students that are learning English as a second language. I teach a range of ages, from 4 -13. It is my responsibility to create engaging lesson content that follows the First Leap curriculum which includes flip charts, worksheets, games and a variety of wholesome off the board activities, designed to further the students knowledge of English. I also run open-style classes at regular intervals so parents can sit in and monitor their child’s progress, as well as weekly demos to attract new students to the school.
January 2016 - Present - Creative Director at Square Peg - Square Peg is a media company that I set up in my spare time several years ago, initially as a way to document my travels around the world. We have since produced wedding films, travel documentaries and promotional films for tour companies across South America. I am responsible for the shooting and editing of films, as well as marketing the company to reach a larger base of customers and delivering the finished product in a way that ensures high levels of customer satisfaction.
May 2015 - January 2016 - Outbound Sales at Audi Nottingham - I sold workshop services and add-ons to existing Audi customers. I thrived on helping customers find the products that best suited their needs and building up a relationship with the wider customer base. My work was target driven and it was important that I was self motivated. I gained invaluable personal and communication skills that would be transferable to the teaching field.
