Hello, My name is alisam and i am a english teacher . I have 3 years of teaching experience,
My hobbies include learning about China, watching CCTV, playing guitar, wood working, learning language basics, and reading extensively about science, health, culture, politics, and of course, linguistics.
My teaching experience, has included both private individuals and groups, online and in semi-formal class settings, custom on-the-fly lessons and prepared curriculum.
Recently, I have been teaching online medical English to several private Chinese nurses and large nursing groups, both using formal textbook format and customized to multiple skill levels. Many of these experienced Nurses, as my students, simply wish to learn English to help their hospital, while others need English RN development and preparation for their IELTS or TOEFL exam, most of which are in online groups or private and semi-private lessons using Wechat, QQ, and Skype. I teach them all the necessary English requirements including Medical definitions, Vocabulary, Reading, Writing, Comprehension, Grammar, Pronunciation, along with additional material with respect to the medical industry.
In some cases, I also teach full English learning to their husbands and children, some doctors and business professionals. I’m also learning Mandarin on my own, although at a slow pace :)
My eclectic and extensive experience in business, finance, health/nutrition/medicine, and technology, gives me a broad spectrum of skills that appeals to academics, young students, adults, medical practitioners, and business corporate executives. I am passionate about learning, and determined to deliver a professional teaching method that has always been greatly respected by staff, colleagues, and students.
