                             Location Manager

·   Responsible for the complete oversight and operation of Chongqing Aston school with over 200 students enrolled, including tracking and maintaining an operations budget of RMB 1.9M; setting monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals; hiring Chinese and foreign employees; staff scheduling, supervision and evaluation; and addressing parent feedback and concerns.

·   Engaged area schools and businesses in support of school sales and marketing to increase channels for new student recruitment.

·   Spearheaded marketing efforts to better leverage Aston brand in highly competitive environment.  Initiatives included research of target student demographics, increase school participation in regional educational events, analysis of educational industry trends, and hosted  monthly promotions both inside and outside school.

·   Achieved improved operational efficiency and reduced payroll costs by changing school HR structure and consolidating positions; amended sales commission contracts and teacher bonuses to increase incentives for high performance; and revised school hiring standards and employment packages to find and attract quality employees

·   Supervise integration of new and updated course packages, with particular focus on developing strategies towards communicating curriculum changes to current students and parents.

·   One of few acting foreign employees to serve as Location Manager for an Aston school

Deputy City Director

·   Assist the city director in supervision of all departments—including HR, sales & marketing, and financial—at Aston schools in Chengdu city and ensure operations are in compliance with company standards.

·   Direct oversight over training and teacher staff through monthly observations, evaluations and workshops.

·   Oversaw school transition to company-wide updated curriculum, including re-design of school grounds and interior, integration of new course materials, and scheduling/hosting training of Chinese and foreign teachers to achieve updated course objectives.

·   At request of R&D department, designed new course lesson plans in support of aforementioned curriculum update.  These lesson plans are currently distributed amongst all Aston schools in China.

·   Act as primary liaison to new incoming foreign teachers and work with Chinese government agencies to secure visas for foreign staff at all Chengdu Aston schools.  

·   Support Sales & Marketing department through planning and implementing promotional events in local neighborhoods and schools.

·           Responsible for developing and implementing English teaching curriculum over 6-month terms for area Chinese students, including testing and grading.

·           Prepare and submit semi-monthly evaluation reports for students and communicate student assessments to parents

·           Serve as liaison between location managers and parents

                              Project Manager

·         Responsible for the complete oversight and operation of valet department for W Hotel property, including supervision of assistant project manager, four shift managers, and staff of 20-25 employees.

·         Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding/disciplining staff; addressing complaints; and resolving problems while maintaining strict customer service standards.

·         Maintain and track annual operating budget of $1.7M; process accounts payable/receivable and payroll; and perform/review bi-monthly audits on employee competencies.

·         Reconcile monthly P&L/operating statement with budget and explain variances to property manager and devise methods of improving performance and efficiency.

·         Draft annual budgets based on historical data analysis to lower operation expenses while improving customer and client satisfaction.

·         Achieved YTD variance of $120K under budget in wages from evaluating work performance and schedules, daily business volume, and monthly, quarterly, and annual business projections.

·         Perform monthly market survey analyses and update operational plan to reflect changes in economic climate. 

·         Proposed and created changes to accounting procedures to improve revenue controls.

                               Supervisor

·           Direct oversight to the dispatch/valet operations serving DFW airport, including supervision and training of 50-70 staff members.

·           Responsible for tracking vehicle inventory of 1,000 units/day spread over 5 terminals.  Assisted in above manner with Grand Hyatt DFW valet service, with particular expertise on organizing and coordinating resources for hotel events.

·           Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding/disciplining staff; addressing complaints; and resolving problems while maintaining strict customer service standards.

·           Liaison to property and facility management staff, including airport hotel management.

·           Effectively resolve issues pertaining to customer billing and act on behalf of Operations Manager to troubleshoot and find solutions to problems.

                

                             January 2008-January 2009                   Ace Parking Management                                                    Dallas, TX

                            Assistant Site Manager

·           Manage and operate valet service for Fairmont hotel with team of 20-25 staff members.  Specific oversight over collecting revenue from monthly accounts in arrears, investigating and processing claims, and troubleshooting customer service issues on behalf of Site Manager.

·           Responsible for hosting training seminars for new-hires for all Ace accounts in Dallas metropolitan area.

·           Acted as primary liaison to property management, including participating in weekly department head meetings and pre-convention assemblies, and organizing monthly client luncheons.

·           Obtain bids for unusual or large repairs, projects, or replacement of equipment and direct supervision over the completion of those projects. 

·           Assigned to help open account at newly-completed Joule Hotel by interviewing, hiring, and training staff members, and preparing and directing work assignments.

·           Acted as interim manager for underperforming or high-volume properties.
