Also had five VIP middle school and high school students that were planning on attending high school/university abroad.  Taught English and other subjects like Math, History, and Science.

Developed two or three interesting and structured presentations for large groups (25-40) weekly using MS PowerPoint and handouts

Taught 1-on-1 with a VIP student practical business English along with technical garment vocabulary for an upcoming trade show.  He liked me and signed up for more classes

Short-Term Winter and Summer Camps/School



Teacher:  Winter Break ESL program at a Primary School

Beijing, China                                                                              January, 2016 (1 week)

2 classes of about 15 Ss each.  (Grade 5 and 6)

With no lesson plans or text provided, I planned 15 hours of ESL lessons for both groups. 

Course content covered topics this age group would find practical and interesting.

Organized into teams Ss required to make their own team name/slogan/cheers and then compete against other teams in a talent show at the end of the week. 

  English skits, poems, songs, drama.  

  Chinese were teachers very satisfied.


Teacher:  Huamei-Bond Canadian International School (华美中加高中)

Guangzhou, China                                                           July - August 2014 (1 month)

5 classroom hours/day with one class of 20 for 4 weeks summer school ESL 

Kept students engaged during a very intensive 5 hour per day course at a Sino-Canadian international school  

Course content: New Interchange blue book along with a short novel

Lesson planning, homework,  weekly progress reports, quizzes and exams


Teacher:  Summer ESL program at a Middle School

Dalingshan Zhen, Dongguan, China                                                 July 2014 (1 week)

2 middle school classes of about 40 Ss each. 

Students didn’t know each other so had welcoming and Ice-breaker activities, and had students talking after first few days.  

With no lesson plans or text provided, I planned 10 hours of ESL lessons for both groups. 

Course content covered topics this age group would find practical and interesting.

Organized into teams.  Had an environmentally friendly craft activity.  

  Students gave two different presentations on travelling and their reused trash crafts.

ChongQing, China                                                                     July 2014 (9 days)

Taught ESL to 8-15 year old students at a sleepover camp in remote location.

Focused on pronunciation and saying things like a native English speaker.

Teacher: New Oriental (新东方) Winter ‘Storm Camp’

Taught ESL to university and high school students.  Focused on improving and building confidence in speaking ability.  

With no lesson plans or text provided, I planned 18 hours for both beginning and intermediate levels.  Focused mainly on one-on-one and group role play, discussion, and fun activities.

Taught ESL to 7-12 year olds in the morning.  Organized, led, and participated in various activities rest of the day including team building, crafts, skits/English role-play, American culture,

Stayed onsite to supervise campers at all times in adjoining hotel.
