Serving in this company, I work in one of the 5 DMC´s in the world, processing cases of reports from around the world about adverse events experienced involving our marketed products and our research clinical trials. As part of the new software system launched July of 2011, I became part of the intake officer group, in charge of classification, triage and input of the information received from internal and external partners. Regularly, I had lead and participated in projects to improve efficiency in the reporting and reviewing process.

I worked for this foundation serving as a head nurse in the institution with more than 60 people of different ages and levels of mental handicap (from severe to high-functioning disabilities).
I initiated the process of nursing in the institution, developing and participating in the elaboration of protocols and procedures for nursing care. I also gave nursing care to the patients mostly in medication administration, basic nursing procedures and prevention activities as well as continued care after hospitalizations.

Queen Sofia of Spain Hospital provides primary care services as well as being the referral hospital for the northern part of the state of Tolima and is classified as a level II hospital. As a level II hospital its technology, resources and staff are able to attend medium complex procedures (Obstetric, Pediatric, General Surgery, Orthopedics and Trauma/advanced life support).
As head nurse in the ER of this public institution I was in charge of all the nursing procedures performed including drug administration, management of patients according nursing care, primary triage and administrative procedures (payments, insurance, transfers) according to the legal and scientific protocols and guidelines.
I also managed the nursing staff working inside the ER.

As the only head nurse in this center, I co-manage it together with the general practitioner in charge. This center provides healthcare to more than 6,000 people living in more than 160,000 square feet of Jungle.

• Sexual transmitted disease programs
• Anticonception education
• Primary attention for children, youth, women and the elderly
• Vector-transmitted diseases treatment and control programs (Malaria, Paludism, Yellow fever, Chaga´s disease)
• Tuberculosis treatment and control program.
I also was in charge of the primary nursing attention in the ER and hospitalization, administrative affairs and management of staff.
