外教的工作经历

English Teacher – Jiao Zuo (Henan Li Gong Da Xue - Postgraduate)

2015/07 – 2016/01 Henan Li Gong Da Xue – JiaoZuo, Henan, China.

Employed as an English tutor - My responsibilities included preparing and delivering lesson plans in order to deliver English lessons tailored to meet the requirements of the Henan Education Boards curriculum. This involved engaging my Post-Graduate students in oral and written classroom exercises and workshops where they could build on their existing language skill-set and further acquaint themselves with the nuances and intricacies of the English language (which they had already been learning  prior to attending University) in preparation for their impending CET6 examinations.

English Teacher – Ping Ding Shan (Ping Ding Shan Xue Yuan - Freshman)

2015/01 – 2015/07 Ping Ding Shan Xue Yuan – PingdingShan, Henan, China.

Teaching Communicative English (Oral English) at this University, my duties we're preparing and presenting professional grade performance, allowing the students to develop and characterize the language that they have been studying for many years. I would give them a complete English environment whereby they could express themselves very comfortably, without regret or worry or doubt. My responsibility was ensuring that the students understand that we learn through our mistakes and by providing the appropriate environment for them to relax, they would astonish themselves with there own ability. Having achieve a high standard, I prepared my students for the CET 4 examinations, teaching them world-class methods to gain vocabulary extremely efficiently and proven methods to understand listening comprehension in the native English language (rather than self-translating it within the mind). I would also track and measure students performance, keeping a record of them and there individual ability as well as a record of the group (classroom) ability as a whole.

I would also attend the English Corner, open event. And create a stable relaxed environment outdoors, so that they can express themselves more freely among other students who are not there classmates. I would teach the students about western idioms, culture and actual events, that they seem very interested to know and understand about the western world. These students are majoring in various departments, such as Broadcasting, Culture, International Chinese, etc. I managed to bring them all up to a national/international standard (for there freshman year) of communicative english, irrespective of the different backgrounds of the students. I would drive and motivate the students and bring the love of language and harmonize Chinese and English together, by allowing them to understand the principles of language and its origin, uses and fundamental foundations.

English Teacher – Anyang (Ren Wen Guan Li Xue Yuan - Freshman)

2014/07 – 2015/01 Ren Wen Guan Li Xue Yuan – Anyang, Henan, China.

English Teacher – Lin Yi (Ying Xing Xue Xiao - Senior & Junior)

2013/07 – 2014/07 Zhong He Education – Yuncheng, Shanxi, China.

Teaching ESL at Ying Xing School, my responsibilities included keeping track of progression amongst the students. I had more than 1000 students and a detailed log of there development each week. I would prepare lesson plans that would be practical yet exciting. My lessons included a monitor and a co teacher to assist with translating where necessary. It was soon realized that I was able to teach oral English without the need of the co teacher. My students reading and writing abilities were great, while there listening and speaking ability was minimal. My focus was to show the students using various PPT and Media that we learn from our mistakes and that they don't need to be shy. It was quickly realized during our game play at the end of the lessons and most of my students later began to develop an interest in English and western culture. The students developed a relationship with me as a teacher and friend and they would open up, showing there impressive oral English abilities without being shy of mistakes since I would not punish or embarrass them, I would correct them in a practical and effective manner. During my lessons I would also review content from the school curriculum English book, this aided with there progress. I introduced a new method of teaching from the west which is called roleplay conversation building. Using a structure and a topic, I was able to create an environment within the classroom that the students could get into character and groups and perform roleplays based on simple yet useful conversations that they could develop to there own personality. Examples included purchasing food from a restaurant or selling goods in a store. I would use the props in the classroom to further enhance the environment and bring about an atmosphere that is relaxed, exciting and effective. Over the period of my employment at the school the students oral ability dramatically improved, while there listening ability improved noticeably. I was respected amongst the other teachers at the school and I was honoured with preparing and judging English Speaking competitions. On occasions I would take the students to the playground to learn oral English in a manner that would also build relationships between the students amongst each other and give them comfort and confidence in there abilities. Most of my students developed a passion for Language studies and some even for English literature. They would like to travel to the west given that they are confident enough to communicate with foreigners.

English Teacher – Yuncheng (Longing Sun Training Centre & Kindergarten)

2013/06 – 2013/07 Zhong He Education – Yuncheng, Shanxi, China.

At Longing Sun training centre, the students were very young and the classrooms were very small. There were on average 5-10 students per class. My duties involved teaching in an exciting manner by communicating simple phrases and using flash cards to get the attention and understanding of the students. I was able to see progress of oral ability across the range of students as my time and relationship developed with them. I would teach ESL with a co teacher by following a carefully prepared structure and curriculum called Backpack and Pockets. This method was very effective among the young learners as the environment for learning was very relaxed, that included many games. Teaching at Longing Sun proved very successful as I was introducing new words and reviewing previously learned words. These words are everyday English which they will later carry with them throughout there life.

I feel this was a very rewarding experience for me and the students.

English Teacher – Wenxi (Er Zhong - Junior), Yuan Qu (Zhong Tiao Zhong Xue - Senior)

2013/03 – 2013/06 English First Village – Yuncheng, Shanxi, China.

I worked in WenXi, Er Zhong teaching oral English to Senior 1 students, there were 45 students per class. My duties included preparing detailed lesson plans for ESL oral and listening. I would ensure that the students enjoyed the study of English by introducing the arts of the western culture and teaching system. I would refer to interesting differences between China and England and give the students a basic understanding of what is required to speak well and listen well. I would use PPT to demonstrate selected topics from the school curriculum English book. The method to stimulate the mind, vision and hearing abilities proved successful in opening up the students to the ease of learning. I would play quick classroom games at the end of each lesson period to review the word list or some sentence structures.
