• Responsibilities involved; looking after the pharmacy • Including liaising with the pharmacist and improving pharmacy targets • Working towards KPI targets • Purchasing • General Accounts • Managing and training staff • Liaising with other health care professional such as GP practices • Attending out of hours meeting with practice managers • Dispensing labelling and checking medication • Selling, supplying and stocking medication for the public • Managing and supervising pharmacy staff • Creating and improving key contracts with suppliers to improve profit takings • Increasing Turnover from 500 k before I started to just over 3million pounds • Revenue forecasting, Financial strategies maintaining best practices • This role allowed me to demonstrate my results-driven ability
June 2010 - January 2012 Boots UK Ltd Area Manager ( Contract )
• As the Area manager I was employed and responsible for Multiple Boots stores within my geographical area. • This role had very aggressive KPI targets which I consistently achieved. • My role included financial management: planning and working to budgets, maximising profits and achieving sales targets.. • My role expanded to include people management: recruiting new staff, training and developing existing staff, motivating and encouraging staff to achieve targets, coordinating staff, scheduling and rotas. • Other duties included overlooking purchasing, preparing log reports of takings for the directors and managing staff in a busy commercial environment • This role also included building and strengthening relationships with Boots partners. This included Doctors, Dentists and multi-disciplinary health care team members as well as Boots sister companies such as Alcura Healthcare. • This challenging but rewarding role required me to control over 100 staff members; maintaining their performance, training and continued professional development. • Multi-site organisation and operation was required in order to optimise performance and achieve targets for all stores within my catchment area

• Managerial responsibilities included team leading the workforce (panel beaters, electrician, painters and mechanic) in repairing vehicles on a timely manner for clients • Clients included insurance companies as well as the general public • This Position included risk management duties as well as growing the business and increasing revenue through strategic management and budgeting & financing. • Managing security, being vigilant and staying alert to protect property, assets and staff and often manning the property together with the assistant manager. In order to fulfill this role a door supervision level 2 license has been granted by the SIA.

• Working to competitive targets to increase business for the company, insurance/warranty claims and explaining mobile jargon to customers. • My main achievements were exceeding targets
March 2004-Sept 2004 Fujitsu/Siemens Delivery Manager (Agency)
• Employed as a Delivery Manager. • Liaising with clients (Home office, HSBC and NHS) to ensure the delivery of expensive equipment within projected build time for project managers. Controlling a team of 10 colleagues in your department can become stressful at times but this role demonstrated my ability to work as a team leader.
March 2003-Sept 2004 AAH Pharmaceuticals Warehouse Operative (Contract)
• This role involved medicine verification. It allowed me to appreciate the need for accuracy: ensuring clients such as boots have their medicines delivered within specified time for their customers. My role was to check every medicine was accurately packaged and checked prior to delivery.
