Responsibilities: It is my role as an English teacher to encourage pupils from the age of 7-11 years old to become confident speaking English. I do this by singing songs, teaching phonetics and teaching them about Western culture to help them understand the context behind English language use. I enjoy the challenging role and take great pride in assisting the students to learn another language. I often create new games to keep English learning fresh and fun.

Responsibilities:
I was a participating teacher in the development of appropriate syllabuses, materials and schemes of work suited monitoring and assessing a pupil’s progress with a variety of abilities and needs. I actively involved myself in curriculum review and development, teaching within the designated subject areas and ensuring the correct use and care of equipment and resources was maintained by both staff and students. I helped to hold meetings with parents, providing administrative support and planning and preparing appropriate lessons and suitable teaching materials. Furthermore I helped manage pupil behaviour and displace working with children with learning difficulties and disabilities, liaising effectively with parents to ensure the needs of the child were met and they progressed academically. Other duties included maintaining up-to-date classroom displays, setting and subsequently marking and assessing pupils’ work done both at school and at home. I enjoyed helping the students utilise the best of their skills and become confidence in themselves and abilities.

I was responsible for planning and delivering structured lessons and engaging and motivating pupils. I supervised and organised extra-curriculum activities and responded to the needs and strengths of the pupils. I became familiar with a variety of teaching styles and approaches and enjoyed creating a vibrant and effective learning environment.

I have a History degree obtained June 2014 and a TEFL 120 hour online certificate.
