Awarded the position of teaching assistant in the Communication department. I helped teach “CMNS 253 – Introduction to New Media” where I created my own class content every week for students. Teaching the course primarily to English as Another Language (EAL) students I attempted to engage the class to present their experience with new media that serviced them in their native language and/or country.

Among my various duties I organized & managed various cultural events (100-200 participants), represented the association at the Fédération des francophones de la Colombie-Britannique yearly meetings, maintained a monthly newsletter providing relevant information to the community, as well as provided free translation services for refugees & new immigrants to Canada to help them adapt to their new English speaking surroundings.

Masters Double Degree in Global Communication Fall 2013 - Present Beijing & Vancouver
Currently pursuing a double M.A. awarded by the Communication University of China 」ィ中国传媒大学」ゥ in Beijing & Simon Fraser University (SFU) in Canada. Working under my supervisor Yuezhi Zhao」ィ赵月枝」ゥ, Professor and Canada Research Chair in the Political Economy of Global Communication at the School of Communication, I pursued an analysis of 40+ years of UNESCO’s World Heritage Centre policy documents to locate major priority shifts in the institution. After having completing the Vancouver component of my degree last August (2014) I am now in Beijing completing the second half of my double degree.
