Purchase Ledger Clerk (2007 - Brencham - Present). Brencham is another division/department of City Electrical Factors. Working with our accountant dealing with 1,000 cheques raised manually to our suppliers, approx. £1.5 million monthly cheque run, monthly reports, statement reconciliations, monthly instrastats for our overseas suppliers, raising foreign payments. Duties also include dealing with internal and external telephone enquiries, collection and processing of company expenses and other ad-hoc duties. Also working within tight time constraints and able to co-ordinate substantial amounts of information, and I am part of a team and willing to work with a hands on approach. I am IT proficient and able to use Office, Word and Excel, I am organized and hardworking and enthusiastic whilst also processing good communication skills.
Sales Ledger/Purchase Ledger Clerk/Credit Controller (1997 - 2007)
City Electrical Factors Ltd, Kenilworth, Warks.
Duties include, allocating cash, and credit control, updating and maintaining the ledger, setting up new customer accounts, completing credit checks and obtaining
references, dealing with invoice queries, producing a debt report outlining overdue customers, reviewing customers over credit limits, calculating expected cash, petty cash, bank reconciliations. With doing both Sales & Purchase Ledger I was able and quick minded to change daily from each ledger while dealing with customers and suppliers, whilst also having to keep to two deadline time schedules. I am also helping in payroll duties.

I was in sole control of the Sales Ledger, I liaised with customers and sales force, raising and posting invoices/credits, statements and debt collection and keeping the ledgers updated. I left this employment to have my first child.
1986 - 1988 Credit Controller - Karcher(uk)Ltd, Banbury, Oxon.
Worked with a busy but vibrant finance team, and reported directly to the Manager. The Credit Control role involved dealing with a large number of live accounts, which involved chasing debts via phone, letter, fax, email and negotiating payment plans, I am resilient and self motivated as well as a great communicator and team player as well as the ability to multi task and work to deadlines, also had to work to monthly targets, which we usually adhered to.
1983 - 1986 Accounts Clerk - William Barrett Ltd, Bicester, Oxon.
After moving back to the UK, I started with the above company in their sales dept, I was there only a few months and was offered a position in the accounts. As it was also a manufacturing company there was a lot of manual account duties before they were introduced on to the computer system, ie manually raising invoices and posting them on to the system, working out how much stock to order for each item ordered. I was promoted quite promptly to actually running the computer system in the accounts dept, from copying files and backing up files for the accounts packages for every employee in the company including offices from sales, accounts and transport /goods dept, which also included troubleshooting any problems on the computer system.
1981 - 1983 Housewife Royal Signals based in Wildenrath, Germany.
I got married in 1981 and moved to Wildenrath where my husband was based in the Royal Signals.
1979 - 1981 Contract Records Clerk - Bryce, Junor & Jellie Ltd, Liverpool City Centre.
I joined the company straight from school just after my exams. My duties were handling contract records of this busy import/export office. General office duties, also working on the unusual telex machine which was before computers came into effect, as most of our customers/suppliers were in the Middle East/Asia. I maintained and calculated/ processed all schedules regarding each order.
