 WORK EXPERIENCE

2013–2014    teaching English as a Second Language to International Exchange students preparing for studying abroad, and leading Advanced English Language and Conversation classes at Huazhong University of Science and Technology Wenhua College in Wuhan, Hubei, P.R.C. / 华中科技大学文华学院  湖北武汉
1995–2014    taught English as a Second Language, Business English, and English conversation classes (including discussions of film and literature) to various private and corporate clients, in language institutes, in secondary school
1998–2013    worked as an English translator and interpreter

Language Editor and Translator of a number of book, journal, DVD projects, movie subtitles, and marketing materials – from and into the English language,
translated into English the subtitles and promotion materials to a number of documentaries made by leading contemporary Slovak documentary filmmakers participating at various International Film Festivals,
published articles and reviews on Asian cinema in journals and daily press.
2011    was one of the speakers of the International Conference on the Cross-cultural Legacy of Lin Yutang in China and America, hosted by the City University of Hong Kong.

    translated books and wrote reviews on Eastern belief systems and international affairs.

Foreign Expert at the English Department – taught English Language and Conversation, and British and American Studies, designed own course for the year including the final exams, and hosted weekly English Corners and English movie nights to my classes (over 200 students)
