衢州职业技术学院是2002年经浙江省人民政府批准成立的公办全日制高等职业院校，主要培养面向生产、建设、管理、服务第一线的技术技能人才。学校坐落在浙江省西部、享有“南孔圣地、四省通衢”等美誉的国家历史文化名城衢州市。2012年6月，学校顺利通过教育部高职院校人才培养工作评估。学校先后被评为国家级节约型公共机构示范单位、浙江省文明单位、浙江省普通高校毕业生就业工作优秀单位、浙江省治安安全示范单位、浙江省卫生先进单位。

学校占地面积387亩，建筑面积16万平方米，固定资产总值达30707万元，教学仪器设备总值5600余万元，馆藏图书53万册。

学校设有医学院、艺术设计学院、经济管理学院、信息工程学院、机电工程学院、继续教育学院等6个二级学院，设置20个高职专业，形成了装备制造、电子信息、医药卫生、艺术设计、财经管理等5个专业群协调发展的格局，拥有中央财政支持建设的专业3个，省优势专业2个、省特色专业4个。学校现有全日制在校学生6200余人。现有教职工407人，其中专任教师270人，教授、副教授等高级专业技术人员101人，具有硕士及以上学位（学历）教师191人(其中，博士研究生8人)，“双师素质”教师193人，浙江省“151”人才3人、市“115”人才39人，省级教学名师、省优秀教师、省教坛新秀、省级专业带头人、市首席技师等20人，形成了一支结构合理、充满活力的高素质专业化教师队伍。

学校始终坚持教学工作中心地位，不断提高人才培养质量。《以“校企共成长” 为目标的艺术设计人才培养 》《计算机应用技术跨专业复合型人才培养模式研究与实践 》获浙江省教学成果奖一等奖，主持国家社科基金项目1项、教育部人文社科研究规划基金项目2项，建成省级精品课程5门，省级精品在线开放课程2门，立项省高校新形态教材建设项目6项，获批专利236项，主编教育部规划教材、省级重点教材13部。学校以“尚德弘毅 知行合一”为校训，在人才培养过程中着力体现思想道德、职业素养、职业技能和职业精神的辩证统一。积极推进校内外生产性实训基地建设，其中机械制造与自动化实训基地为中央财政支持建设的基地、护理实训基地为省级示范性实训基地，建有170多个校外实训基地。积极鼓励学生参加高水平学科（技能）竞赛，学生的创新创业能力不断提升。近三年，学生在国家级、省级学科（技能）竞赛中获奖256项，其中一等奖34项。学校先后确立了地掷球、健美操、攀岩等一批特色体育项目，摘得国家级锦标赛类金牌20余枚。近五年，学生就业率稳中有升，初次就业率均在95%以上，且就业层次逐年提高。

学校充分发挥自身优势主动服务地方经济社会发展，近年来组织开展的技术服务、社会培训得到社会各届的高度赞誉。学校设有衢州农民学院、衢州女子学院等社会培训平台，是浙江省护理人才培养基地衢州分基地、浙江省家政服务人才培养培训联盟衢州分中心和市养老护理教育培训中心，先后被评为“全国职工培训示范点”和“全国巾帼家政服务培训示范基地”，在省内外形成广泛影响。

Introduction to Quzhou College of Technology

Located in the historically and culturally renowned city of Quzhou in western Zhejiang Province, Quzhou College of Technology (QZCT) was established in 2002 upon approval by Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government. It is a publicly funded vocational college for full-time education, mainly focusing on the cultivation of skilled talents with high standards and qualifications on the front line of production, construction, management and services as well. In June 2012, the college successfully passed the quality evaluation of higher vocational education work by Ministry of Education. It has been praised by the central and provincial governments for the maintaining of a safe, healthy, and civilized campus and for its excellent work in energy saving and students’ employment promotion.

The college covers an area of 26 hectares, with a total floor space of 160,000 square meters. All the equipment for teaching and research is worth RMB 56 million. The library has a total collection of 530,000 books, 700 kinds of professional journals, and 15 databases with access to academic materials home and aboard.

Within QZCT, there are 6 faculties: The Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Art and Design, the Faculty of Economics and Management, the Faculty of Electronics and Information Engineering, the Faculty of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering, and the School of Further Education. The faculties cater to 20 programs including Machinery Manufacturing, Electronics & Information Engineering, Nursing, Art & Design, and Accounting, among which 3 programs are supported by the fund from central government, 6 programs are key programs or distinctive programs of Zhejiang Province.

At present, there are over 6,200 full-time students in the college. The college has a staff of 407 that meets the demands of modern vocational education. The size of the faculty is 270, of which, 101 are professors or associate professors, 191 have master’s degree or above, 193 hold occupational skills certificates besides teaching certificate, 3 are recruited into provincial talent support programs, and 39 into municipal talent support programs. It has grown into a high-quality professional team with reasonable structure and full energy.

Centering its work on teaching, the college strives to constantly improve the quality of education. Two teaching reform projects have received the first prizes of Zhejiang Provincial Award for Achievements in Teaching in 2016. The college has developed 5 courses into first-class courses of Zhejiang Province, hosted 1 project supported by National Social Science Foundation and 2 by Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Science Research Project Planning Funds, obtained 236 patents and compiled 13 textbooks that were recommend by Ministry of Education and provincial government.

Endeavored to meet the needs of modernization and guided by the demands of society, the college makes great efforts to cultivate the professionalism, vocational competencies and overall qualities of the students. The college takes the initiative to establish practical training bases, among which the Practical Training Base for Machinery Manufacturing & Automation program is funded by the central government and the training base for the Nursing program is the Demonstrative Practical Training Base of Zhejiang Province. At present, we have set up more than 170 off-campus practical training bases. Effective measures are taken to encourage the students to participate in high level occupational skills competition and the students have won 256 awards in competitions above provincial level in the past three years, among which 34 were first prizes. In the past five years, more than 95 percent of the graduates have been employed upon graduation and the quality of employment has increased year by year.

Making full use of its advantages, the college has actively served local socio-economic development and has organized technical services and social training, which receives high praise from the society.
