English Teacher at Jingdezhen Comprehensive College
September 2012 - July 2013 (11 months)
My job was to give oral English classes, to develop speaking skills of students. I had classes with 24 to 55 students. A class was 2*40 min with a 10 min break, 2 times a week. Through the school year we covered the following topics: introduction, sport in my life, cooking, expressing your feelings and emotions, university premises, moving up the career ladder ( the steps to success (CV), letters of application), advertisement and news announcement, polite request( in a restaurant/ cafe, making a reservation in a hotel), my holidays ( cultural differences, calendar differences), pollution/preserving wildlife. I made up all the classes myself, cause I had been given unlimited freedom in what to do with my class. Since the author's rights do matter, I do not copy units from the books of the distinguished authors, though I learn much from them. I was making my own lesson plans, using ideas that I notice and pick up from everyday life. It gave me a chance to turn my classes into something up-to-date and extremely useful (CV, going in a restaurant) and fun (giving news reports). To spark their interest in the language, it should have been connected with real life. My students appealed to the audience ( practicing pronunciation, intonation ,public speaking) and acted out in pairs, in front of the class, did round tables and case-solving games, were in charge of a group workout, did cooking together etc... That way I hope they made an important connection in their own lives that the language can
be used and spoken! outside the classroom.

Tutoring at Self-employed
2008 - Present (5 years)
I have been giving private English lessons to students aged from 6 to 45 for 5 years. In my classes I stick to communicative method:
1. based on speaking needs in different situations
2. based on self-presentation and self- image positioning , for example: in social networking
3. grammar for speaking needs
Since the author's rights do matter, I do not copy units of the distinguished authors, though I learn much from them. I am making my own lesson plans, using ideas that I notice and pick up from everyday life. That
allows my classes to be fresh, up to date and interesting.
